I hope they fix it so we can all enjoy this game together. Waited so long for this title to release just to be disappointed, immensely. Dying light is better with friends, and even better than that when you can play with any of your friends, not just the ones on your platform. Dying Light 2 will not have cross-play at launch. Tell it to us straight WILL the game have crossplay in the next month, if at all? WILL the game have cross gen play in the next month, if at all? The fact that the biggest feature that would keep the multiplayer co-op aspect of this game alive for a long, long time, is the feature they leave out at launch, with no say of when or even IF it's coming, speaks volumes about the quality of the product. Don't be cryptic with "It won't be available when the game releases". If not planning to add it at all, say that. Its truly a testament to the hard work we have poured into the game. We are proud of the work that has withstood 7 long years. It marked a paradigm shift for the studio during its development. If they're going to add the feature at all, say it. Dying Light 2 Stay Human picks up the torch from the original Dying Light, a game that blew past our greatest expectations. Guessing developers have learned nothing about how a bad release can utterly destroy a game (Anthem, Battlefield 2042, Cyberpunk, No Man's Sky, etc). I've been a fan of the franchise since day one, we all were, supported the first game all the way through its long, long life. I was so excited to play with my girlfriend (Me on PC, her on Xbox One S) and my best friend (Series X), and my brothers (Xbox One), and the news that the game will have neither feature on release? Destroyed any hopes of us pre ordering the game or even purchasing it at all until this feature is added. Years and years of articles about the amazing multiplayer features of this game, up until two weeks from release all said this game would be cross-gen/cross-platform. Will not be purchasing until cross play is implemented. When they put Dunno they have 5 years to support that. They didnt put cross-play on launch even they dont put cross-gen so you must wait. We do encourage original content, however. If there was cross-play then techland would annouce that. Unmarked posts will be removed and member subject to severe punishment. Techland has already confirmed Dying Light 2 will be quite long when including all of the additional side content, so players will want to make sure they have a reliable and supportive group of friends to play with if they choose to experience it in co-op. The host will have to live with the repercussions of any choices regardless, while the other players will have their own story and world that exists in their own save the file. The world and narrative are heavily impacted by key choices throughout the game, so the host does have the ability to override the other players' votes, but it's nice that there is at least a hint of democracy. On top of traditional zombie slaying, Dying Light 2's co-op will allow players to vote on critical choices for the game. Techland recently debuted the first look at co-op in the highly anticipated sequel.
